Clifton Park Adult Soccer
"Friendly play for fun and fitness" has been our purpose since our start in the fall of 2003. Now a formal part of the Clifton Park Soccer Club, we are proud to offer a handful of different opportunities for adult players in our community. Read on to learn more about what we're about!
Friendly Play for Fun and Fitness
- Our games are more friendly than competitive. There are no slide tackles, for example. We all have lives outside of soccer, so we strive to minimize injuries.
- We have a great time! The quality of play is good and the quality of social interaction is even better.
- Given our friendliness, we play without referees and have found that the honor system works 99.9% of the time.
- We always play pickup style, so there are no standing teams—you'll get to play with everyone eventually and you never have to worry about where your team is in the standings.
- With our dedication to pickup style play, you are free to attend as much or as little as you are able.
- We don't even keep score or run a clock. Seriously, we're focused on just having a great time.
Are We Right for You?
- We accept players who are 30 years of age or older.
- If you are a Clifton Park town resident or live within the Shenendehowa School District's boundaries, you are always welcome. We have a limited number of openings for "out of towners"—check with us to see if we can accommodate you.
- Players of all skill levels are welcome.
- Unfortunately, we sometimes have to limit registrations due to the amount of field space we have, so please pardon us if we can't get you playing straight away.
Game Night
- Always bring a white and a dark shirt (no grays).
- Turf shoes are required for indoor play.
- Shin guards are recommended, but not required.
- It's okay to arrive late or leave early—we adjust easily.
Playing Opportunities
Outdoor Pickup
These are games played outside on real grass. We make teams at the start of each game depending on who shows up. Typically, there are two simultaneous small-sided games played side by side. Occasionally, there may be a full field 11 versus 11 game instead. It all depends on the numbers on any given night.
- Offered from late April through the end of October.
- All games played at the Clifton Common.
- Games on most every Monday evenings starting at 6:30.
- Many additional games offered on Thursday nights starting at 8:00.

Fee: $20 for the entire outdoor season.
Outdoor Walking Soccer
Sounds different, and it is. But it's also pretty recognizable, too! Walking Soccer is all the rage in the U.K. (like pickle ball here). There's no running and minimal contact, so raw speed comes right out of the game as an advantage. That leaves foot skills, passing, and positioning as the differentiating skills of the game. It's a blast and removing speed opens the game to players of any age and ability, including those that may be slowed down by injuries. Our introductory season attracted a small group that literally had an awesome time.
- Our goal is to have Spring and Fall sessions.
- All games played at the Clifton Common.
- Games on most Monday evenings starting at 5:30. We play for 1 hour.

Fee: $10 for the spring season.
We need a small, but committed, group of players. Please consider joining us. And, invite a friend to join, too.
I'm Ready to Join!Indoor Pickup
These are games played inside on turf. Just like the outdoor program, we make teams at the start of each game depending on who shows up. Typically, we play 6 vs. 6 plus keepers. There are typically a few substitutes and, on some nights, we make a third team and swap entire groups every 10 minutes.
- Offered from early November until late March or early April.
- We offer 2 sessions of 10 weeks each.
- All games played at Afrims in Malta. Note that Afrims has a membership requirement that is additional to our registration.
- Games on most Sunday evenings starting at 7:30 and ending at 9:00.

Fee: $110 per 10 week session.
Registrations are closed as we are currently full.
Registering
- Registration is required for all of our programs.
- Registrations must be complete at least 1 week before your first game.
- All registrations must be done online using leagueKeeper.
- Our coordinator sets up all new accounts in leagueKeeper. Please use the email address below (in the Get in Touch section) to request an account.
- leagueKeeper does NOT accept online payments at this time, so payments are expected to be made at the time of first participation using cash or check (made out to Clifton Park Adult Soccer).

We have designed the process to be truly fast and easy. There are just 3 steps and registration takes mere minutes.
- Verfiy your basic information.
- Electronically sign a Release of Liability Form.
- Choose the Program for which you want to register.

The league's business happens via e-mail. To receive notifications about our programs, you need to be in our database. Please contact our coordinator to be added.
